A stonework cottage brimming with traditional character and surrounded by lush private grounds overlooking the River Tawe, this rural hideaway is perfect for a small family or group gathering in the Brecon Beacons National Park. Hike through the rugged mountain terrain and past a glistening valley lake on The Llyn y Fan Fawr Walk, then fire up the charcoal BBQ and enjoy a sizzling al fresco feast in your leafy garden.

Hidden down a quiet country lane, this 1800s property features a welcoming interior with beamed ceilings, a rustic exposed brick wall, and a warm country home feel. Store outdoor gear at the front door then head into the airy farmhouse kitchen with feature tiling and whip up a post-adventure snack board. Tuck into a hearty meal gathered at the wooden table overlooking the garden. After a day of exploring, return to the warmth of the flickering wood burner and kick up weary legs on the comfortable sofas to enjoy a pre-dinner snooze or gather here for an evening tipple. Retreat upstairs and steal a moment of peace on the landing reading nook before turning in for the night. Choose from two well-presented bedrooms, including a double and a twin, each with pretty views across the garden. Early risers can sip their morning coffee and bask in the sun from the patio.

Descend into the mysterious depths of Dan yr Ogof National Showcaves of Wales, 2 miles, and venture through the underground caverns. We had a lovely stay at this cottage. It was clean and had good facilities, it was ideal for taking your dogs with an enclosed safe garden. Lovely touch with the welcome gifts - thank you. Re towel rack, just somewhere to hang towels to dry as its not always possible to leave the burner on to heat the rads. Lots of room outside the bedrooms to place 1 or 2. Its a job to keep the burner going so availability of more lighters and kindling is fairly important. I bet the place is even niceRead morer in the summer. We had a lovely stay, so much to do locally and great pub across the road. Thanks Hide

Fantastic holiday cottage. We thoroughly enjoyed our week it was really cosy and comfortable. The heating was a doddle if you follow the instructions. Felt like in countryside but walkable to pub and close to river and country parks. Cant recommend highly enough.

Wonderful cottage in a lovely location. We wanted to get away and look switch off over Christmas which is exactly what we did. Hosts were really helpful, left us with plenty of coal and wood for the stove and log burner. Our little dog was safe in the garden and also HD a lovely time. Thank you.

We loved our stay, it was so cosy and comfortable. The dining table was perfect for meals and board games, and the sofas were great for cuddling up.
