Holiday Cottages in the Brecon Beacons & Black Mountains

It’s officially National Picnic Week but we can only conclude that the organisers haven’t been to the Brecon Beacons as some of the best picnic spots in the UK seem to be missing. Here are some of our favourites…

  1. Beautiful pools and picnic spots by the stream at Nant Sere, near the base of Cribyn mountain, park at the top of The Gap Road
  2. Blaen y Glyn Waterfalls, near Talybont
  3. Hay Bluff - wonderful views, and you can drive up there!

If you want a really posh picnic, Bijou Deli, will make up a hamper for you (and there is a discount if you show your Exclusive Map!). And while our mind is on food, Abergavenny Food Festival tickets are now available. If you want a holiday cottage close to the festival, have a look at our Abergavenny holiday cottages

** This week, we are featuring some of our very newest cottages, which still have some availability for the summer holidays. Old Factory House in Defynnog sleeps 8 in 4 beautiful bedrooms. The picture-postcard Riverside Cottage, sleeps 4 in two bedrooms, in the pretty hamlet of Llandefaelog, and Brest Garth near Beulah sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms and has its own private lake.**

We will of course send you our famous and coveted Exclusive Map before your trip here - recommending our favourite eateries, adventures and activities, with some brilliant offers and discounts.

Call us on 01874 676446 and we can give you all sorts of advice on the area, what to do and about the cottages.
