We had a lovely few days in the cottage. So remote, quiet and peaceful. It was a good base to explore the area without having to venture out in the car. The shop in the nearby village was adequately stocked for our simple needs. Plenty of walks around, mountains to climb, streams to splash in and a nice grassy area to play games in. Amazing location - remote but perfect if you are looking for peace and quiet. Property is well equipped. There is wi-fi but can be variable in speed - but I would expect this given the location. Short walk to the Washpool - great space to swim and paddle - dog loved it! Friendly farmer next door and friendly local sheep! Bird watching is excellent.Read more There is nothing that the local garage shop doesn't stock - 15 min drive to main supermarket. The Trout Inn (Beulah) - great meals and very friendly. Hide

The perfect cottage. This is our second stay at Alltwinau and we (and the parrot) love it there. The cottage is secluded and remote with the most stunning views. We are keen birders and there is plenty to see on the feeders in the garden. Lots of wonderful local walks with the nearby Abergwesyn being a favourite. An ideal location if you want to relax away from it all. Walks from the house plentiful and the river good for a dip.
