Take a romantic holiday in Mid Wales. This fun little property would be perfect for a couple exploring the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park and getting a taste of rural Welsh life. The property is part of a complex, so if you like your own space and want to invite friends, this could be the ideal location.

The front door opens directly into a lounge/diner, where you can relax after a long day of adventures. There’s some comfortable seating, a table for meals, and a wood burner-effect electric fire so you can make everything cosy. To one side, you’ll see a kitchenette where you can make tasty treats or pack up picnics. This property is all on one level, so continue through to the double bedroom, which has been charmingly decorated in a rustic fashion with plenty of wooden touches. Finally, there’s a shower room with a WC. On sunny mornings, why not take breakfast outside and eat at the courtyard table whilst admiring the incredible views?

The property overlooks the Sugar Loaf, Usk Valley and the Black Mountains, so you’ll have plenty of opportunities for hikes, bikes and lots of other outdoor activities. The Bannau Brycheiniog National Park is 5.5 miles away and is also great for explorers. Take some time to learn about the fascinating local history and legends, perhaps by visiting Tretower Court and Castle, 4.5 miles away. If you need supplies, try Crickhowell (4.5 miles), a local town with a castle.

Cute cottage, lovely location. A bit noisy from the flat above. Friendly owners.

Homely cottage for two in an excellent unspoilt position well away from traffic and crowds, fantastic views over fields to mountains and beyond.

Lovely remote location with fantastic walks from the door. Didn't need to use my car all week as plenty to do from there. Loved hearing the sheep and lambs. Lots of lovely bird song too. A real treat. Hearing people walking around upstairs on a couple of occasions was a slight detraction for me given how remote and, otherwise, quiet it was.

A beautiful property in a most idyllic setting. The views of the surrounding area are amazing. Our only regret is that we arrived late to the property and had to leave mid-morning the next day. It would have been nice to spend a few more days.
