Relax in the tranquil setting of this luxurious waterside getaway, which is perfect for a gathering of friends or a family getaway at any time of the year. Wonderful walking and bike rides are all around, and there’s an enclosed garden, too, making this a perfect spot for children and your canine companions.

This pretty farmhouse has a traditional rural ambience, and its comfortable lounge is definitely the place in which to sink into the sofas and de-stress. Light the wood burner if it’s feeling cool outside, and enjoy a movie or a favourite show on the Smart TV. The spacious kitchen/diner is another wonderful place where you’ll want to spend time, lingering at the farmhouse-style dining table after a delicious meal prepared in the high-quality kitchen. Off this room you’ll find the utility room with a washing machine. The three bedrooms are all on the first floor: one twin, a king-size and a double. All the bedrooms have en-suites, and there is also a separate WC. The enclosed gardens to the front and back are great for children and pets to roam, plus there’s a patio area with a dining set that’s perfect for sundowners and al fresco suppers.

In a peaceful location beside the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal, the house is a great base for walkers, who can access the Skirrid, Sugar Loaf and Blorenge within 10 miles. Alternatively, simply wander along the canal to picturesque Goytre Wharf, where you can take a picnic, have a cup of tea in the cafe or hire a canoe or boat. The market towns of Abergavenny and Crickhowell are 3 miles and 8 miles respectively and, for a family day out, the Big Pit at Blaenavon is just 6 miles.

Lovely cottage and location. Further work needed to make garden dog secure which was a disappointment.

Lovely house in a beautiful location. Really comfortable and well equiped - we thoroughly enjoyed our stay over Christmas (having a tree and some decorations was a really nice touch). Wood burner and a plentiful supply of wood was welcomed. Great access to walks and nearby sights. Would definately consider booking again.

A really nice cottage in a great location for exploring the area. Just 30 minutes from the motorway but still peaceful. All the rooms are well-looked after with everything that you'd need. The owners have thoughtfully provided plenty of information to help you get the most out of the area. The garden is great for relaxing in the sun and watching thRead moree sheep and the boats. Lovely canal running past the garden for a gentle evening stroll. A few decent breweries and a vineyard nearby too! Hide

The whole experience was a joy! The cottage was so beautiful and in such a wonderful location, we honestly could not have asked for anything more. It was also lovely to meet the owner, Elizabeth who was kind enough to let us look around her glorious garden. We will definitely be booking again!
