A tranquil and romantic retreat, situated on the ground floor of a converted barn, within the hamlet of Llandefaelog Fach, close to vibrant Brecon and the magical Brecon Beacons National Park.

Get away from it all with a stay at this cosy holiday cottage for two in the glorious Welsh countryside. This ground-floor accommodation is set on a smallholding, along with another holiday cottage. Stroll down to the village pub, less than half a mile from the property, for a quiet drink or stop by for welcome refreshments on the way back from a long hike. As darkness falls, dine under the stars in the cottage’s private garden, and raise a toast, whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply admiring the amazing view.

You’ll need to walk up a few steps to enter the cottage, which combines traditional features like flagstone floors and exposed beams with homely touches including a warming wood burner and comfortable sofas you can sink back into. A well appointed cottage that is very comfortable and full of character. The rural surroundings are very relaxing and the farm cat, hens and guinea fowl add to the atmosphere on this picturesque farm complex. The host is most welcoming and helpful too.

Such a lovely cottage in the most beautiful relaxing setting, so lovely to see the animals roaming freely around the farm. We enjoyed visiting the town of Brecon with some lovely independent shops and walks along the canal. The cottage is in a great location for visiting the area of Brecon Beacons. We loved our stay. Thank you.

Duck cottage is large, well equipped and very comfortable. A lovely, quiet, rural location although within easy reach of Brecon where there is a good selection of shops.

We had a lovely break. with warm hospitality. The cottage is really tasteful with a nice open plan kitchen/living room with a cosy fire. The bedroom is lovely and spacious. I liked the doors leading out to a patio which is a perfect suntrap for reading. The countryside around is just stunning. I would definitely recommend.

Lovely cottage set in a beautiful position. It was great watching the black sheep, chickens in the field and watching the squirrel that came and walked along the wall most days.

We had a fantastic week at Duck Cottage and would not hesitate to book another stay in future. The cottage itself was spacious, superbly well-appointed, and a very easy place to relax and feel at home. The secluded location just outside Brecon provided an ideal base for exploring the area, while also being close to shops and amenities. We particulaRead morerly enjoyed warming ourselves by the wood burner after long days out walking in the valleys. Thanks Patrick and Rose for making us feel so welcome. Hide
