For nights out, head to bustling Brecon (4 miles) to find a variety of pubs and restaurants, as well as a canal-side theatre and a 1930s-style cinema. At Pwll-y-Wrach Nature Reserve (13.5 miles), get up close to the spectacular waterfall that tumbles into the ‘Witches Pool’, before seeing how flour is made at Talgarth Mill (13 miles). A really beautiful and cosy cottage with everything you need for both rainy days (lovely log burner, great views, river at the bottom of the garden) and adventures (short drive from Brecon Beacons National Park, and plenty of great walks).
