Semi-detached stone property situated down a quiet lane within the Brecon Beacons National Park, just two miles from the popular town of Abergavenny and within easy reach of Sugar Loaf Mountain.

Tucked away in the Brecon Beacons National Park with gorgeous views and a homely feel, enjoy a romantic retreat at this cottage with your pup by your side. 2 miles from the foodie haven of Abergavenny, you’re perfectly positioned for date nights away from the kitchen and for exploring the surrounding countryside. The open-plan space is great for couples and has a tranquil feel. Get comfortable in the kitchen/lounge/diner where the neutral decor is warmed by splashes of colour and the space is filled with natural light. Take a seat on the sofa and relax with a film on the TV/DVD before cooking up treats in the kitchen area. The useful dishwasher lends a helping hand after dinner which can be served up at the table or outside on the enclosed patio where you can fully appreciate the mountainous views. After eating, head to bed in the light, welcoming bedroom which can be made up as either a king-size or a twin. Freshen up in the shower room and make use of the external laundry facilities shared with the neighbouring property. From Abergavenny – a foodie haven just 2 miles away – hike up the Skirrid, Blorenge or Sugar Loaf mountains. Your efforts will be rewarded with panoramic views and will earn you some well-deserved treats when you’re back in the town. Travel 18 miles north to Llangorse Lake where you can wander the water’s edge or visit the activity centre before heading home via the market town of Crickhowell (7.5 miles) or continuing to Hay-on-Wye (30 miles).

This little quaint retreat is perfect, you have some amazing walks on your doorstep and the town is like a 5-10 min drive. The accommodation is perfect and the owners are very well accommodating and always had good knowledge of excellent walks. We will be returning as its absolutely beautiful with amazing scenery.

This cottage did not disappoint! It's in a beautiful location, very well equipped and comfortable. There's everything you might need for a long or short stay and it was good to be able to take our dog and not feel he was messing the place up. Lynn and Andy are very friendly and helpful. The Stables is a very well presented and comfortable accommodation with everything you could possibly need for a self-catering vacation. Lynne, the owner added extra thoughtful touches with fresh cut flowers, milk and eggs straight from their chickens. If you want peace with outstanding views, this is the place for you.
