Enjoy the charm of this quiet country farm in the rural hills outside Brecon. Head out for days in the Brecon Beacons, return home for real log fires and cosy evenings in 5 star comfort.

Escape your routine and call this wonderful barn conversion home for a while. Just north of the Brecon Beacons National Park, spend days relaxing at home amid fields and verdant countryside, or venture out to explore. One of two barn conversions which sleep four over two bedrooms, it’s a great home for small families or a few friends looking for a Welsh retreat. Relax and unwind in your private garden space or get competitive in the shared outdoor playbarn.

Accessed via a narrow lane, step inside the barn and settle in. Warmed by a wood burner, the lounge/diner has a TV/DVD and exposed beams and stonework which add character and rural charm. The dining table has plenty of room for you to enjoy meals together which can be cooked in the light, spacious kitchen where there is also a breakfast table. There is a washing machine for you to use after hikes and adventurous days. Spend time on the terrace and make use of the shared play area and outdoor playbarn.

Two first-floor bedrooms have sloped ceilings, one being a king-size with en-suite bathroom and the other a twin with en-suite shower room. There is ample off-road parking and an electric car charging point available at a charge.

Stock your cupboards with goodies from nearby Sennybridge (6 miles) or venture further afield to the market town of Brecon (8 miles) where there is a cinema and shops perfect for rainy days. Brecon Cathedral is also worth a visit if you’re stopping by. Stretch your legs and admire panoramic views from the top of the highest peak in South Wales; Pen-y-Fan stands at 886m tall and lies just 14 miles from your door. The National Showcaves Centre for Wales is 16.5 miles away.

Lovely property with everything you need. The property is set in the most picturesque area, with walks and cycle routes close by. Would definitely recommend.

The cottage was superb and the scenery beautiful. Fiona was very welcoming with a bottle of wine, cheese crackers and homemade Welsh cakes to greet us. We will definitely be back.
