Spring Bank is in Bwlch, which is a wonderful place to stay.  It is tucked away at the end of a no-through road; easy walks to the local award-winning pub (The New Inn) which is always popular and busy so always book if you want to eat there. There is also a village shop and a post office and a Little Diner for a quick lunch with children.

Bwlch is midway between Brecon and Crickhowell 10 miles to Brecon and 10 miles to Crickhowell.  It was once a coaching stop in the days of horses. This is a very easy place to stay to be able to reach all parts of the Brecon Beacons National Park and the Black Mountains. Llangorse Lake is five minutes' drive away. It is within a few minutes' drive to Llangynidr village, the river Usk and the Brecon and Monmouthshire Canal. There are two pubs down in Llangynidr village, a couple of shops and a busy and popular cafe.

Abergavenny is an interesting market town and has the closest railway station. It is very easy to reach The Welsh Valleys by taking the scenic drive over Llangynidr Mountain, within easy reach of Ebbw Vale, Bargoed, Cardiff, Newport and Swansea.

A friendly cathedral town in the lee of the mountains with the rivers Usk and Honddu running through. For a small town, there's a lot going on. A leisure centre with a pool, 1930s style cinema, excellent theatre and plenty of shops and cafes. On the outskirts of the town are popular villages including Llangorse with it famous lake, Cantref with its popular adventure farm, Talybont, well known as a walking and cycling hub and Felin Fach, home of The Griffin, a highly acclaimed pub and restaurant.
