Holiday cottages and accommodation in Llanwrtyd Wells

Close to the Brecon Beacons and the Cambrian Mountains, the town of Llanwrtyd Wells makes a great place to stay. From accommodation in or close to the former Victorian spa town, enjoy strolling down its main street, browsing in its independent shops and pondering in its pubs and restaurants. Find self-catering Llanwrtyd Wells accommodation where you and your friends and family can holiday together and cook up delicious celebratory feasts. Seek out smaller Llanwrtyd Wells holiday cottages too, which could be perfect for just the two of you, or inviting, dog-friendly properties where your furry friend is just as welcome as you are.

While in Llanwrtyd Wells visit the Cambrian Woollen Mill, which is still operational and includes a museum. Look out for annual festivals and events in the town, including the Man Versus Horse Marathon, where runners compete against riders on horseback, the beer festival and even the World Bog Snorkelling Championships. Head off for days out in the Brecon Beacons to go walking, cycling, climbing and caving. Visit other nearby towns, such as Llandovery and Brecon, to browse in more shops and perhaps stop for something to eat. Wildlife enthusiasts will also enjoy their proximity to the RSPB Nature Reserve at Gwenffrwd-Dinas, with its beautiful woodland and colourful birdlife, and the Crychan Forest, with its waymarked cycle, horse and walking trails. Scenic reservoir Llyn Brianne, set in the beautiful Tywi Forest, is also a great place for a long walk or cycle ride and to get close to nature.
