Old Crofftau is one of our favourite cottages. This stunning holiday home for 8 people is just 3 miles from Brecon, but you're tucked away in the foothills of the Brecon Beacons with a footpath from the door straight up Cribyn and Penyfan. It's dog friendly, and child friendly, with lots of space, an enclosed garden and Cantref Adventure Farm and Riding Centre just a mile away. The house is comfortable and charming with a 1960s jukebox and plenty of antique furniture. The friendly owners live just next door and are happy to help you plan your trip.

Cottage Accommodation

Sleeps 8 plus cot in 4 double bedrooms. On the upper floor of this beautifully converted farmhouse is a long galleried room with comfortable deep squashy sofas and chairs; a long dining table and chairs, a large very efficient woodburning stove,  TV, CD, DVD, Wi-Fi and video, as well as a classic 60's Wurlitzer juke box. The views from all the windows are phenomenal, straight out onto Cribyn and Pen-y-fan and in the other direction to the Black Mountains. There is a long Welsh slate work surface in the well equipped kitchen area, with a larder fridge, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, large double oven, hob and waste disposal unit.

The master bedroom downstairs has French windows that look out onto a patio and garden - wonderful in the summer. A further bathroom downstairs has bath, shower and hand basin and toilet. Further separate toilet. Off the spacious flag stoned floor hall is a utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer, a large fridge/freezer and the central heating boiler.
