Nestled in the south-east corner of the Brecon Beacons National Park, the lively market town of Abergavenny is packed full of shops and restaurants, with the beautiful Black Mountains as its backdrop. Visit Goytre Wharf and Canal Visitor Centre (9 miles) for a bike ride along the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal, and through the fields and woodlands that surround it.

The bungalow welcomes you straight into the cosy, well-presented living area, complete with an ornately patterned sofa and matching armchair, colourful soft furnishings, TV and DVD. The light and bright kitchen/diner is well kitted out with everything you may need to cater, as well as a compact wooden dining table and matching chairs. This cottage was a real home from home with everything we needed. We got a lovely friendly welcome from the owner . The location of the property is great ,very near to Abergavenny and all the amenities but a very quiet calming and picturesque place to return to each day after a day of exploring. Would absolutely recommend this cottage.

What an absolute gem, as not only close to all amenities, it was far enough away to enjoy peace and tranquility in abundance. The host was very friendly and knowledgeable, and always on hand should you need anything. This place was great value for money especially for July, and even though the weather could have been better, there was nowhere else Read moreI would rather have gone. Will definitely book again in the future. Hide

A lovley spot in peaceful surroundings with very friendly welcoming hosts. It was ideally positioned for exploring all the nearby castles... We explored 7 new ones and a few previously visited. Thank goodness for National Trust & CHDW. We recommend a trip to Big Pit - taking the smaller beautiful route ober the Top! Tina & Collin
