Set in the heart of Grosmont, this beautiful and contemporary, stone-faced holiday home makes a great base for friends and family exploring the Welsh Borders together. The village has lots to discover, including Grosmont Castle and St Nicholas Church, while the village pub serves meals made with fresh local produce, a short stroll away. The surrounding landscape is made for walking and cycling, with the Black Mountains providing an impressive backdrop. Walkers can join the Offa’s Dyke Path at Pandy (7 miles), before heading towards Hatterrall Ridge. The area is also home to the Three Castles Walk, a 19-mile circular trail linking Grosmont, Skenfrith and White Castle. For a change of scene, visit Abergavenny (11 miles), Monmouth (12 miles), Hay (16 miles) and Hereford (15 miles). The Wye Valley lies in one direction, while the Brecon Beacons National Park stretches away in the other, giving you plenty of choice for active days out.
Inside, soft neutral tones and thoughtful furnishings are present throughout, creating a homely, inviting feel from the moment you arrive. The ground floor has an entrance hall with a staircase, a cloakroom and two bedrooms: a king with TV, plus a king-size room with en-suite shower room. Upstairs, the first-floor living accommodation brings everyone together, with a comfortable lounge centred around a wood burner and a TV, alongside a dining table seating up to ten guests. The adjoining kitchen is well equipped for preparing meals and feeding the whole group. A large utility room sits just off the kitchen, with a washing machine and plenty of storage for food and household essentials. The second floor has three further bedrooms, giving guests a choice of five bedrooms in total. The master bedroom has a TV and a generous en-suite bathroom with a Jacuzzi-style bath. A second super-king-size bedroom, and a third double bedroom which is served by the wonderful family bathroom with a Jacuzzi bath and separate shower.
Outside, a wraparound balcony runs around the property, with seating to take in the views. An enclosed courtyard adds another outdoor area, while the summer house has been converted into a private spa with a hot tub, shower and sauna. There is off-road parking for four cars on the driveway.
