Set within a working farm on the border of the Brecon Beacons National Park, this charming retreat is one of two delightful stone-built holiday cottages on site. Roam the farm and surrounding countryside as a couple or small family and enjoy far-reaching countryside views from the sociable open-plan living space at this warm and welcoming home.

Set across a single floor, the cottage treats guests to unspoiled views of fields and pastures. As you step inside, you’ll find yourself in the spacious open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, fully equipped for whipping up a hearty breakfast or a delectable evening meal. The lounge provides the perfect spot for relaxation after a day of adventures, and large patio doors lead from the living area to the outdoors, bringing the rural ambience in. The two king-sized bedrooms are thoughtfully positioned on either side of the living area, and each boasts its own private en-suite facilities, one with a gorgeous free-standing bathtub. Patio doors lead from the living area outside via three steps, to a patio where a sofa seating set awaits to enjoy the far-reaching views. The perfect place for morning coffee and evening drinks. Surrounded by fields and meadows, this pretty retreat offers plenty of enchanting spots and lovely countryside for walking and cycling adventures during your holiday. Guests are welcome to bring a canine companion along, but they should be kept on a lead at all times as this is a working farm.

The vicinity boasts some intriguing historical sites, including the remnants of Llangadog Castle, a motte and bailey castle perched on a hill overlooking the village, serving as a reminder of the area’s rich history. You’ll also find the popular market towns of Llandovery (5 miles) and Llandeilo (9 miles) well worth a visit during your stay. Don’t miss Y Garn Goch (6 miles), a hill featuring two Iron Age hill forts, and the dramatic ruins of Carreg Cennen Castle (13 miles). For outdoor enthusiasts, the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park (Brecon Beacons), 4 miles away, provides an excellent location for hiking, walking, climbing and cycling.

Lovely property, plenty of space and well equipped. Views from the back patio are beautiful and the location is so quiet. Spent hours watching the red kites circling overhead.

The cottage was very comfortable with fantastic views over the countryside. It would have been ideal had there not been quite a few standard items either missing or not working. Unfortunately building work was being carried out whilst we were there which the lettings agency hadn't warned us about. Having said that, the location was good - villages Read morewith independent shops, lots of good walks and historical sites to visit. Hide

The barn conversion we stayed in was lovely. It was clean and comfortable. It has a few shortcomings but I feel I could recommend this to a friend. A great view of the countryside. We watched hot air balloons taking off and also watching the Red Kites flying around outside. Central to many amenities and supermarket only about 4 miles away. Llangadog rather small but we did manage to find a lovely restaurant nearby .Many, many castles in the area if that is your thing to do. Hide
