Property code: OC-BOW31

This charming glamping hut near the bottom of a valley on a working, organic farm is a handcrafted, restored railway carriage with clever use of space helping create a snug rural hideaway with outdoor luxuries and views across the valley. Located within the Brecon Beacons National Park, it’s a beautiful setting for outdoor-loving couples and their two pets (from Easter until the end of October, when the property is available) with walks from your doorstep. Try unique Brecon Beacons adventures like white water canoeing on the River Usk (3 miles) or, for something more gentle, hopping on the Brecon Mountain Railway (25 miles) for a scenic ride. Top it all off with indulgent local food and drinks at the many pubs in the pretty market town of Brecon (7 miles) or even the cosmopolitan city of Swansea (29 miles) that’s packed with culture to discover, like the museum, castle and beach.

Back at your home in the heart of nature, climb steps into your charming cabin, designed to make good use of the space. The open-plan layout features a handcrafted double bed with a rustic wooden headboard, a window at the foot of the bed so you can wake up to those lovely country views, and curtains to separate your sleeping area from the rest of the room. The dining area is a cushioned bench and a wooden table that can fold away to give you more space, all facing the double patio doors leading to the decked area, so you’ll always have dinner with a view. The kitchen is simple but sufficient, and there’s a cosy wood burner next to it, keeping things extra snug. The modern bathroom features a full-size shower unit, basin and WC. There’s additional sleeping space for older children only (not suitable for adults or young children) in the loft upstairs: climb the ladder to find a double bed in a snug space. You’ll find lots of information in the cabin about local walks, cycle routes and more to do in the area.

Take to the outdoors to make more lasting memories on the decked balcony overlooking the countryside. The small table and romantic, curved bench is a lovely place to enjoy dinner or drinks with a view, while the rocking chair means you can kick back as you take in that tranquillity. At night time, enjoy a spot of stargazing as this glamping hut is located in a Dark Sky Reserve. Step down from the decking and make your way to the bubbling hot tub (steps lead into the tub) for private, luxurious moments in nature.

We stayed for 3 nights over Easter bank holiday. It was the most beautiful stay in a perfect location. Over the weekend, we did the four waterfalls walk, and Pen y Fan both in close proximity. The Orient Express was bigger than we anticipated with plenty of room to be out home for the weekend. Positioned next to a stream was a peaceful soundtrack, Read morewith breath-taking views to be enjoyed from the hot tub. Easter Sunday watching lambs hopping through the adjacent field was amazing. The area is also very dog friendly, our German shepherd had the best holiday too! Hide

The property was amazing in a stunning location and the icing on the cake was the the hot tub! We had lovely walks and picnics by the river, the dog was living his best life too. It's close to nice days out in Brecon and Swansea and plenty of supermarkets. I only marked it down for cleanliness as there were lots of cobwebs, other than that it was vRead moreery clean. We would definitely return and I would highly recommend. Hide
