Property code: OC-515921

Book a romantic glamping getaway with up to two pets in this shepherd’s hut-style cabin that’s cosy inside and luxurious outside, thanks to the panoramic decking and hot tub. Located in the Brecon Beacons National Park near the bottom of a valley, on a working organic farm, guests can take plenty of scenic walks from the doorstep through woodlands, trails and fields. During your stay you can give renowned Brecon Beacons adventures a go, such as riding the historic Brecon Mountain Railway (25 miles) or trying white water canoeing on the River Usk (3 miles). After a great day of adventures, refresh with local food and drink in the charming old market town of Brecon (7 miles), where there are plenty of pubs.

Enter a world of tranquillity at your glamping cabin, accessed via wooden steps. The open-plan space is bright and natural thanks to the Welsh oak and red cedar material. Clever designs make the most of the space, including bedside curtains to separate the bedroom area - featuring a king-size bed with a window at the end so you can wake up to views of rolling fields - from the kitchen and the dining space. The latter consists of a fold-away table, cushioned bench seating and a cosy wood burner beside double patio doors that open to the decking and showcase those wonderful countryside vistas. A ladder leads up to a small loft, where you'll find a double bed suitable only for older children (but unsuitable for young children or adults). The unit also has a stylish bathroom with a full-sized shower unit, WC and a basin. You’ll find lots of information on local walks, cycle routes and more within the cabin.

The outdoor decked area is also a fantastic space where you can dine or drink at the small table with its romantic, curved bench overlooking the surrounding panoramic countryside views. There’s a BBQ for al fresco cooking and a rocking chair which is extra relaxing. Take your seat at night for epic stargazing as the cabin is in a Dark Sky Reserve. Steps lead down from the raised decking to the field, and, on the other side of the cabin’s front, you’ll find the electric hot tub: the most luxurious way to enjoy those tranquil country surroundings.

Its set in a great location with no noise disturbance and not that much light pollution which makes it great for star gazing. I would highly recommend staying here.

This Property was brilliant! They had everything you could want there so no need to pack anything but clothes and some food. Was super dog-friendly. Being set on a large field made it perfect for my dog to walk around whilst we are at the cabin. The hosts made sure the place was spotless for us and they included booklets with local shops, restauranRead morets, etc, and all things you can do in the area. They had a large bowl and a small one for your dog with a stand. There was plenty of room inside. The bed was super comfy! And they supplied plenty of BBQ and log burner supplies to keep you going for a good week . We have already booked our next stay with them next month ! Very very happy with our stay and would recommend to anyone Hide

Perfect location and really enjoyed the hot tub. Some soft seats would be a bonus but overall a great glamping experience - there was a wasp nest in the left of the drive in the bank just for info

Lovely stay at the Mallard. Bed was very comfy, used the hot tub and the BBQ facilities. Bathroom was good and shower had hot running water. Check-in very easy, property was left open for us to arrive. Was perfect for our 3 night stay in Wales. About half an hour drive from attractions such as Pen-Y-Fan and Zip World.
