If the Brecon Beacons are beckoning you, this is just the house for an active family holiday in the exquisite Carmarthenshire countryside. Cast a line in the River Towy, famous for its salmon fishing, just 1.8 miles away. For fabulous views of the central mountains, cycle across the National Park following the old Roman Road from Llandovery (1.6 miles) down to Llandeilo, 13 miles away. There are lots of historic castles to explore, including the eerily romantic ruins of Carreg Cennen 18 miles away, perched on a rocky hilltop at the edge of a 100 metre high cliff.
On the ground floor of this immaculate house, the large lounge has a central wood burning stove and tasteful furnishings, while the kitchen has high quality appliances and there’s a dining table for eight. Upstairs are four bedrooms, three with plenty of storage, and two bathrooms.
A slate patio area outside the kitchen is ideal for dining with its BBQ and outdoor furniture. The garden has lawns, flower beds with local plants, a pond full of wildlife and a birdfeeder. There’s more seating near the pond, and a double swing. A secure shed is perfect for storing bikes.
