There is access to mountain biking, kayaking and pony trekking available locally, and for wild swimming or a lazy afternoon watching the world go by head to ‘The Bont’, the village shingle beach. The property is just 4 miles from the vibrant market town of Hay-on-Wye, famous for its international book festival and weekly farm and craft market, with plenty of second-hand bookshops, an art house cinema, and independent shops.

Set back and slightly elevated with a wide sweeping driveway enjoying views across the dramatic landscape towards the Black Mountains, guests are welcomed in via the traditional porch. Here you can leave your boots and coats before you step into the inviting entrance hall with ornate mosaic tiled floor and high ceilings. The interior design seamlessly blends period features with contemporary comforts, creating an ambience of sophistication and warmth. The spacious living areas are ideal for both grand gatherings and intimate moments. The snug features plush furnishings, a stone fireplace with a wood burner, a Smart TV and French doors that flood the room with natural light, offering panoramic views of the gardens. A cosy library, lined with floor-to-ceiling bookshelves stocked with interesting reads, comfortable seating, and a wood burner, provides the perfect retreat for literary pursuits. The heart of the home lies in the expansive country-style kitchen, built from solid oak and well-equipped offering everything you will need for preparing food. There’s a table and chairs perfect for breakfasts, along with an open pantry with additional space for food preparation.
