Enjoying a rural location on the southeastern edge of the national park, this charming Welsh cottage is surrounded by Monmouthshire countryside and the Black Mountains. Offering comfortable and dog-friendly interiors, and plenty of space for up to six guests to unwind, this is the perfect countryside base for families or groups of friends. With many local hillsides to climb, including Skirrid, Sugar Loaf, and Blorenge (all within 10 miles) the area is perfect for lovers of the outdoors thanks to the summits’ panoramic views. Walkers can also join the Offa's Dyke footpath at Pandy (10 miles), where you can climb the Cat’s Back, a wonderful ridge on Black Hill. The national park offers plenty to see and do with attractions that include The Big Pit at Blaenavon (6 miles), Brecon Mountain Railway (22 miles) and Zip World Tower (30 miles). Abergavenny is just 3 miles away, and further west lies the quaint market town of Crickhowell (8 miles).

Surrounded by gardens, this traditional Welsh cottage offers a warm welcome. Guests are encouraged to use the rear door which offers access into a useful utility space, offering the perfect place for muddy boots after a busy day in the countryside. From here, you will enter the kitchen, charming and well-equipped, offering everything you may need for preparing meals during your stay. A doorway opens into a generously sized dining room, finished with a large table and chairs that are perfect for getting together over a hearty meal, while in the summertime you can open the original front door to enjoy the gardens. For relaxing, a spacious lounge awaits with peaceful garden views, comfortable seating, and a large TV with FreeSat. Upstairs, guests have the choice of three bedrooms, a spacious super-king-size room with an additional single bed for children, a welcoming double room, and a cosy single room. Serving the bedrooms, find a well-appointed family bathroom with a large, free-standing bath, shower and WC and another bathroom with a bath and separate shower.

Outside, the cottage is surrounded by gardens and views across the countryside. There is a seating area with table and chairs for al fresco dining, along with a storage area for bikes. Peaceful, scenic, and expansive, this is the perfect space to unwind and take in your delightful surroundings.

Where do I begin! The most fabulous cottage in an idyllic location, beautiful views and close to all the favourite spots. The cottage is beautifully and lovingly maintained with absolutely everything catered for.
