A bright and cheery cottage on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park. The family-friendly cottage welcomes dogs and features an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, large gardens and enjoys easy access to attractions including the Gower AONB.

The detached two-storey cottage is located in a secluded hillside just outside the village of Ystradgynlais. Space and natural light come in abundance throughout the cottage; its contemporary interior is dressed in stylish soft furnishings that ooze comfort around every corner. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner that dominates the ground floor bathes in plenty of natural light during the day and transforms into an even cosier space come nightfall when hearty meals and fizz are on the agenda. Guests can be assured a long and restful sleep in the king-size bedroom, the double bedroom and the bunk bedroom upstairs. A slick family shower room stands nearby. The cottage is surrounded by fields and features a large courtyard and a lawn perfect for dog-friendly children’s games and chilling with refreshments and snacks to hand.

The cottage’s enviable location makes it a convenient base for active groups. The Brecon Beacons National Park, home to wooded valleys, lakes and awe-inspiring peaks including Pen Y Fan, stands 3 miles from the cottage. Mountain bikers and walkers will be in their element at Afan Forest Park (17 miles), while naturalists and water sports lovers are within 25 miles of the Mumbles the Gower AONB. Ystradgynlais (0.5 miles) is useful for essentials and a swift pint.

Great, spacious cottage. Ideal for families or friends to explore the area. The cottage has everything you need and was sparkling clean. Really spacious family living area and lots of useful info of local attractions. Ideal for dogs and young families. The use of the cot and highchair was great.
