Providing a cosy rural getaway in tranquil surroundings, this hand-crafted shepherd’s hut makes a fabulous holiday base for two. A few steps lead up to this welcoming eco-hut which features a light and useful open-plan layout. The living space has some comfortable seating and a cosy wood burner, as well as a charming foldaway dining table. The kitchen offers a useful range of equipment, and there’s a comfortable double bed. The hut also has a handy shower room. A few steps lead back down and out onto the wooden decked area with garden furniture, providing a pretty spot for dining alfresco. The nearby fire pit is great for toasting marshmallows while stargazing.

Around the surrounding orchard, you can enjoy produce from the fruit trees and eggs from the free-roaming hens. The historic town of Monmouth (4.5 miles) is home to Kymin, Nelson Garden, the Priory, Cornwall House, a Regimental Museum, the ruins of a medieval castle, a popular cinema and a choice of pubs and restaurants. Activities along the River Wye include cycling, fishing, birdwatching, climbing and canoeing. Local attractions include Raglan Castle, White Castle and Veddw House Garden (all within 10 miles). The apple pip lamb shed was so idyllic & surrounding areas were also lovely, you did need a car to get anywhere but that wasn't a problem. Lovely friendly pub five minutes drive away at the Somerset Arms. Dave our Yorkshire Terrier was welcomed everywhere we went, and he thoroughly enjoyed the freedom around the orchard & can't wait to go again.

An amazing small cottage/hut to escape for a few days alone or with someone. I had a great time while I was there the place is both cosy and aesthetically pleasant. You get to experience a relaxing and peaceful time with more than enough nature trails and things to visit and experience. Hope I will be back.
