Escape to Llangorse for an unforgettable staycation on the cusp of the Brecon Beacons National Park, choosing this 16th-century property as the base for your adventures. Charming, rustic and featuring traditional details such as character beams and exposed stone, this delightful property is an excellent base for families and groups keen to explore the surrounding landscape. Set just 1 mile from Llangorse Lake, your holiday can be as active as you please, whether you envisage quiet shoreline strolls or exciting water sports including kayaking and paddleboarding.

Beautifully styled and finished with homely decor, the property is perfect for unwinding with your loved ones. A gas coal effect fire warms, set in the inglenook fireplace in the lounge, creating a soothing ambience for relaxing on the sofas. Mealtimes are a sheer delight around the farmhouse-style table, especially when tucking into local delicacies prepared in the fabulous kitchen. Upstairs, the three bedrooms sleep six and have vaulted ceilings, and you’ll be able to spot the children playing hide-and-seek through the bannisters of the mezzanine-style balcony. After a busy day, you can indulge in a spot of pampering in the elegant bathroom with its roll-top bath, or the pretty shower room with its walk-in shower. On summer evenings, the shared cobbled patio will prove irresistible for al fresco dining.

You’ll find plenty to entertain your entire party from the comfort of your doorstep, so be sure to pack your walking boots and prepare to take in some impressive views as you explore. Llangorse Lake has an excellent activity centre that offers water sports, pony trekking and even rock climbing, but it is also a great destination for gentle ambles and picnics.
