A real woodman's cottage set in the tranquil woodlands, wake in the morning to the symphony of birdsong and wind down at the end of the day in front of the crackling wood burner.
This beautiful cottage nestled amongst magical, Welsh woodland is a delightful rural retreat for couples or small families. If you’re looking to escape the hectic pace of everyday life and immerse yourselves in the beauty of nature, this is the property for you. Situated on the northern edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park, you will be spoilt for choice when it comes to walking/cycling routes or picturesque picnic spots. Brimming with character, this charming property has been sympathetically renovated to create a welcoming home. Original features such as exposed beams, stone walls and the fireplace are the stars of the show, whilst underfloor heating and a contemporary, but traditional-style bathroom make it suitable for modern visitors. Traditional furniture has also been used, in keeping with its heritage, while neutral tones make it feel light and airy throughout. Guests have acres of woodland to explore, but there is also a small terrace, which is perfect for a morning coffee or an al fresco meal.
Despite its tranquil location, surrounded by Welsh countryside boasting walking and cycling trails, this cottage is only 2 miles from the bustling market town of Brecon. Here, you’ll find shops and eateries as well as places of historical interest. For a walking challenge, head up Pen-Y-Fan (8 miles), South Wales’ highest peak, which offers breathtaking panoramas from the top. For something more leisurely, take a stroll along the pretty Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal. There are also wonderful caves, waterfalls and rivers to discover nearby, including the National Showcaves Centre for Wales (21 miles).
