Keen walkers are spoilt for choice when it comes to the Brecon Beacons National Park. Pen-y-Crug, known locally as ‘The Crug’ is an impressive hillfort situated 10 miles away from the property. It provides some good walking routes for all abilities and offers up magnificent views of the Black Mountains and beyond. If you want to stay a little closer to sea level, travel to Usk Reservoir (12 miles) for a waterside stroll, spot of fishing or to participate in a range of water sports.
