Find this charming cottage decorated in neutral tones, a welcoming invitation from the moment you arrive. Step inside to discover an open-plan living space with plenty of traditional accents, the heart of which is a warming wood burner with plenty of logs included. Prepare an evening meal in the contemporary kitchen and dine right here in this sociable space, settling down on an evening to enjoy a film in the warm ambience of the fire. Heading upstairs, find two bedrooms set out across the first and second floors. The first floor boasts a generous double, whilst a single bedroom can be found hidden under the rafters with original beams and sloped ceilings. Completing the property is a generous garden, perfect for planning a BBQ or even utilising the telescope to observe the dark and starry skies.

 

Find the beautiful village of Talybont-on-Usk directly on your doorstep, boasting 2 local pubs and a café with a shop and post office, to host you throughout your stay. The Talybont Reservoir lies a little further afield (2 miles) with waterside walks and fishing aplenty. Discover Brecon’s highest peak, Pen Y Fan mountain, less than 10 miles away, a challenging yet rewarding walk, or travel a little further to the stunning waterfall area or Waun Fach peak (17.5 miles). Alternatively, those looking for calmer day-to-day activities will benefit from relaxing day trips to Crickhowell (7 miles) and Brecon (7 miles).

Beautiful cottage, very cosy and welcoming with everything you could need. Extremely clean and tidy and enclosed garden was fabulous for the dogs to explore and run around. Balcony was an added bonus for a morning cuppa. Parking at the front is a bit tight if you have an SUV or estate car buy easily parked on the road opposite. Quaint, pretty and in a great area for walking. Pubs especially the White Hart was lovely to visit and to eat at. Canal interesting to walk along. All in all a great little cottage but it do with a bit of TLC in parts including the garden

Cottage is delightful and the position is amazing. Good at the Star pub brilliant. Many places to sit in the garden to read and have a glass of wine. The views are out of this world and the canal walks so peaceful.

Delightful little cottage warm and cosy in an excellent location. We felt that it was tired in certain areas but provided you with everything you needed. The garden was secure and pleasant if not a little overgrown. A very enjoyable holiday.

It is our second time at staying at the cottage and we absolutely love it exploring more and more all the time. The canal path you can cycle o r walk for miles and miles and if you're into cycling or walking there are some fantastic places to visit.

Excellent cottage. Comfortable and warm. Local pubs serve good food and both dog friendly. Garden is really dog proof- no chance of escape. Very close to canal and local walks. Plus easy to visit other areas.

Home from Home, have stayed at Groves cottage before and just love the location for walking, good pubs, useful shop and relaxed feel about it. The cottage was clean, comfortable and very well equipped for cooking, and relaxing in. We had a really restful holiday week in Feb that was really comfortable for an extended weeks escape, with a very cosy log fire, and local pubs, canal, waterfall and hill walks nearby. Happily would return to visit again in the future. Thank you.

This is a lovely cottage in a super position. We appreciate the abundant supply of logs. The bed is super comfy and there is lashings of hot water. We also like the completely secure back garden

Fantastic stay at Groves Cottage. Spotless and cosy with enough room for three adults. Close proximity to a couple of pubs and plenty of walks from the doorstep. Parking is tight unless your car is small.

We had a lovely stay at Groves Cottage. It was a comfortable and homely base for our holiday with everything we needed to hand. Loved having the shop and cafe down the road and the garden and balcony to enjoy when the sun shine. Beautiful area for walking and exploring Bannau Brychieniog.

Great little cottage for our short break in the Brecon Beacons. Efficient, well equipped kitchen and loved lighting the log burner in the evenings. Perfectly situated between Brecon and Crickhowell, easy access to lots of walking.

Lovely homely cottage in a very friendly village. Well equipped with a generous supply of logs. Very clean and comfortable. So many lovely walks so close by, good very dog friendly pubs and a brilliant local shop on the doorstep.. We enjoyed our prolonged weekend in the middle of Brecon Beacons which this cottage definitely supports. We appreciated the idyllic location and the enclosed garden as we brought our dog on the vacation. We will come back to the area and will definitely consider this cottage again
