The kitchen has an oil Rayburn so you can cook up a storm and experiment with delicious flavours; the dishwasher will make light work of clearing up after meals. The flagstone floor is fitted with underfloor heating for a touch of luxury whilst the original charm is maintained. Plate up at the dining table where a second wood burner throws heat into the room, or dine alfresco on the small, enclosed patio. Climb oak stairs to rest your head in one of four bedrooms with characterful beams and sloping ceilings – also upstairs is the bathroom where you can enjoy a shower or a soak in the bath.
Walk 2 miles to The Warren where you can enjoy a picnic on the pretty shingle beach or hire a canoe in Glasbury (5.5 miles) and paddle the winding River Wye. A couple of National Trust properties sit close to home; head to Hergest Croft Gardens (13 miles), or Croft Castle (28 miles) for a day out or visit the largest natural lake in South Wales, Llangorse (14 miles), for a day by the water.
