Surrounded by mountain peaks, epic walks and cosy country pubs, this romantic hideaway in the Brecon Beacons National Park is a scenic pleasure whatever time of year you visit. It’s perfect for a couple to enjoy outdoor adventures, breakfast on the balcony or simply curl up by the fire.

Wake up to wonderful views from the stylish double king-size bedoom and kickstart your day with a freshly made brew from the coffee machine. You’re also welcome to use the front lawn to soak up some sun.

The property is 5 miles from the cathedral town of Brecon, where you can go for a leisurely stroll along the canal towpath or enjoy a night out at the theatre. In Hay-on-Wye (18 miles), spend the day rummaging through book shops and antique stores. You’ll have loads of opportunities to get active, with numerous trails for walking, cycling and horse riding throughout the Brecon Beacons. The Top floor of Cantref House made for a very comfortable two weeks holiday. We felt right at home. We had great weather so made good use of the balcony but if it was a little windy the kitchen was a nice sunny place also. Sadly we were never awake late enough to use the telescope. The location was very quiet, lots of bird song and a cheerful CockRead moreerell! Plenty of walking nearby and from the doorstep. I would definitely recommend staying here. The welcome basket is by far the best we've had. Hide

The property was lovely and in the most beautiful location. Mrs Jenkins was so nice and had left all sorts of little extra touches that really made the difference (home made bread and welsh cakes and fresh flowers from the garden) You can walk out to the hills from the door should you wish (be fit enough and have the required gear) but there are soRead more many places to walk within easy driving distance you will be spoilt for choice. Would highly recommend if you want a peaceful getaway holiday. Hide

Lovely welcome from Sheila and Peter. Accommodation was extremely well equipped. A couple of harder walks within easy access including Pen y Far. Great accommodation and lovely area. See you again. Hide
