If you are in need of a well-deserved break, a holiday in this picturesque cottage on an organic hill farm in Mid Wales could be perfect. Sleeping up to six people, it is ideal for family breaks and getaways with friends. Not only extra cosy on the inside, this property is surrounded by picturesque countryside which will appeal to outdoor enthusiasts and nature-lovers of all generations hoping for days on hiking trails, paddling in streams and learning all about eco-living on this organic farm. You can even make friends with the resident Welsh mountain ponies.

Inside this country cottage, a bright and airy open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner offers a warm welcome. This cottage is as attractive in summer with its large French patio doors as cosy in winter with its toasty wood burner. Prep meals in the well-equipped kitchen and tuck into hearty plates around the indoor dining table or outdoor picnic table. To kick back and relax, just step down two wide tread steps into the main lounge, which  is spacious and comfortable with three large three seater sofas and a large Smart TV. Here you will also find the main dining table that seats six. Let the competitor come out in you, and challenge your family or friends to a game of table football, or pass the time away playing one of the many board games available. There is also a good selection of puzzles for you to use.

Just off the main lounge, two wide tread steps up, take you in to a comfortable and spacious bedroom, with a zip-and-link super king-size bed, which has a British wool mattress. All duvets and pillows in Bryniau Pell are made from recycled plastic. This bedroom has its own wet room style shower room with a double headed shower, WC and sink.

Upstairs you will find a  traditional double bedroom, a twin bedroom and a nursery with two cots. The family bathroom has a shower over the p-shaped bath and WC.

On sunny days, it’ll be tempting to stay home and make use of the BBQ and outdoor children's play area, but there is also plenty going on nearby and bike, stargazing and birdwatching equipment are all available for use and hire. Explore the 220 acres of farmland and woodland, discover Fforest Fawr UNESCO Global Geopark (9 miles), hike Pen y Fan (15.5 miles) and dine in Brecon market town (14 miles). For something rather leisurely, there are plenty of gentle walks nearby, including a 1-mile stroll alongside Cray Reservoir (2 miles).

We had a short break at Bryniau Pell. The cottage was delightful with a big private garden and the sound of the waterfall. A fitted kitchen/ breakfast bar and comfortable front lounge. The main lounge is impressively big with comfy sofas and a pretty fire. We slept well in the lovely bedrooms and were sorry we didn't stay longer.

Great base for walking and exploring Bannau Brycheiniog. Tucked away at the end of a lane, in gorgeous countryside, surrounded by farm animals and wildlife, it is so good for the soul. Plenty of indoor comfort for the few occasions you don't want to be outside. The starry nights are pretty spectacular too.

We had a wonderful stay at Bryniau Pell, the cottage was comfortable and well equipped. The hosts ensured we had everything we needed during our stay. Beautiful and scenic corner of a quiet village. It was lovely to hear the stream from the garden.
