A spacious rural retreat for families and friends offering stylish accommodation with walking and cycling routes straight from the front door through the stunning Brecon Beacons.

This spacious holiday home, in the heart of the Welsh countryside, is the perfect place to embrace the great outdoors and switch off from the outside world. Surrounded by rolling hills and towering trees, there’s plenty to explore the minute you step outside. The property is less than 1 mile from the spectacular waterfall at Blaen-y-Glyn and the Taff Cycle Trail runs right past the cottage, giving you easy access to mile upon mile of stunning scenery, all the way to Brecon (11.5 miles away).

As you unload your luggage, take a moment to stop and appreciate the property’s incredible setting – you’ll feel like you’ve stepped into a painting! Entering the cottage, you’ll notice the underfloor heating which creates a cosy atmosphere and there’s even a drying room for all your walking gear. The large kitchen is the heart of the home and there’s a large dining table where you can all come together to enjoy great food. Steps lead from the kitchen to the elegant lounge, with its arched windows and roaring wood burner, where you can challenge your fellow guests to a game of pool or table football. With four bedrooms and four bathrooms, there is plenty of space for everyone to spread out. Outside, admire the mountainous scenery on the terrace or potter around the garden, where you’ll also find a trampoline and table tennis for guests of all ages to enjoy.

Blaen-y-Glyn is a beautiful place; pass a series of waterfalls along the 2-mile route that follows the River Caerfanell, before choosing a pretty spot for a picnic. Journey back in time with a trip on the Brecon Mountain Railway (11.5 miles away), where you can chug through the National Park on a vintage steam locomotive. The quaint village of Talybont-on-Usk is 4 miles away and has some great pubs serving hearty local food.
