Hop in the car and head to the National Showcaves Centre for Wales (6.5 miles), a 17-kilometre-long cave system that can be explored. If you have children with you, they’ll love the Dinosaur Park here, too. Just 15 miles away is the popular city of Swansea, with a large range of shops, pubs, restaurants and nightlife. Just outside of the city are the wonderful beaches of Mumbles and the Gower. Spend a day soaking up the sun with a picnic or hop on a surfboard.
