This romantic bolthole is the perfect location for exploring the area on foot, before coming back for a spot of al fresco dining and stargazing. This cosy wooden hut has been thoughtfully designed, making the very most of the space available. With underfloor heating throughout and a warming wood burner, you will never get chilly, whatever the weather. The lounge area doubles up as the sleeping space and has a Smart TV, perfect for relaxing evenings in. There’s also a toaster and kettle provided in the kitchen area, as well as a gas hob, for whoever is on breakfast duty. Outside is a BBQ, table and chairs as well as a hot tub available for your private use. The owners run a tearoom on site, so you can pick up a morning coffee or grab some lunch. The Brecon Beacons is full of beautiful walking routes and scenic spots to admire. Situated at the base of The Skirrid, you’ll be able to easily access the routes to hike the mountain and you won’t be far from other trails that wind through the countryside. Should you want to stay at ground level, head to the charming and historic town of Abergavenny (2.5 miles) and discover the many shops, restaurants and bars. Abergavenny Food Festival takes place here in September, and the Green Man Festival in August is held 8 miles from the property. If you enjoy taking to the water, the River Wye runs nearby, and there are plenty of spots along it to hop on a paddleboard, kayak or go fishing.
