Cottage information
The spacious kitchen is fully equipped with large central work station, Belfast sink, dishwasher, 5 ring electric range and double oven. Fridge and freezer. A fabulous swedish antique kitchen table comfortably seats 12 and is located below a very impressive wall-size mirror, which adds to the light and spacious feel of this room, with it's composite stone and pale colours throughout. French doors lead out to the terraces and there are wonderful views from every side, with sofa, chairs and a table. Limestone tiles with underfloor heating throughout. Washing machine and tumble dryer are neatly housed under the staircase, by the Play room which has a large flat screen Sky TV, books and games and 2 sofas.
Up a few steps to the sitting room which is carpeted and has a comfortable sofas and chairs, large bookcases and as a centrepiece the open fire with Bathstone fireplace. An I-pod dock with sound system is also available for guests to use. French doors also open out from here to a sheltered sunny courtyard where there is a barbeque and table tennis.

Bedroom 1: Super king bedroom. Beautifully furnished and carpeted, with lovely bedlinen and antique pieces. The bed is zip and link so could also be made into twin beds if required.

The family bathroom with shower, toilet, handbasin, has a white clawfoot bath, tiled floor and tiles and black and white photographic portraits.
The whole house has some lovely decorative touches such as the framed prints of dried flowers and calligraphy from an 18th century convent, to the Quentin Blake wallpaper in the cloakroom toilet and handbasin.
Downstairs and back up some stairs to the other side of the house there are a further 3 bedrooms.
Bedroom 3: master double bedroom with en suite bathroom with a clawfoot bath, and French doors leading to private terrace. Off this room there is also a children's room with cot and small child's bed.
Bedroom 4: has a super king bed, again some lovely paintings and prints
Bedroom 5: has twin beds.

Location
This is a wonderful location for walkers, with Offa's Dyke footpath only a mile or so away and a wealth of footpaths including across Hatterell Hill to the Llanthony Valley, where you can visit the famous ruins of the Abbey. Pony trekking and riding centres and other outdoor activity providers are all to be found in this area. This would be the ideal spot for complete peace and quiet and for "getting away from it all" and a perfect family house for a special occasion or family reunion. The area has a wealth of interesting places to visit, excellent gastro-pubs and restaurants. With the Abergavenny Food Festival it really is a food lover's destination with excellent Farmer's markets and local food shops.
