Walkers, hikers and bikers will love the footpath straight up the valley to Llangattock Mountain, where the caves of Agen Allwedd are very popular for caving. Craig-y-Cilliau, the hillside behind this delightful barn conversion, is a Site of Special Scientific Interest and attracts a wealth of wildlife. The River Usk is easily accessible in Crickhowell, or you can take a stroll along The Brecon and Monmouth Canal. This cottage is within easy reach of the villages of Llangattock and Crickhowell, where there are plenty of pubs, restaurants and local coffee shops to quench your thirst after a day in the hills. Day permits for fishing on the The Rivers Usk & Wye are available and canoes for the River Wye can be rented in Glasbury.

Cosy yet spacious, this romantic barn conversion makes the perfect getaway for two. Whitewashed exposed stone walls contrast beautifully with traditional beams, whilst the large patio doors in the living room let the light pour in. The kitchen has a double electric oven, halogen hob, microwave, washing machine, toaster, fridge and a freezer, and there is an area just inside the door for hanging coats and hats as well as storing boots. High ceilings in the living room give a sense of space, and the two sofas facing the wood burner are ideal for relaxing on whilst enjoying a film on the Smart TV after a day in the hills. Open the patio doors to enjoy the views and fresh air whilst you dine at the table. Up a flight of stone stairs with a wooden handrail, the charming bedroom has a king-size bed, wooden floorboards, original doors and an en-suite with a shower over the bath.

There is a small sheltered garden where you can enjoy dining alfresco with a BBQ as the sun sets. Ample parking for several cars.

A beautiful cottage with stunning views, very peaceful. We could walk from the cottage into Llangatock and up to the escarpment behind, although that is very steep. It was easy to get out and about, but the lanes are narrow! We had a lovely holiday at Cwm Farm Barn.

Cwm Bran Barn is in a unique location near Craig u Cilau nature reserve, which is a naturalist's paradise. It is also a lovely little place to stay, with everything we needed, and a perfect little garden for sitting out in the morning sun.

This is a lovely, comfortable cottage in an absolutely beautiful location. It was a delight to watch squirrels and a large variety of birds come into the garden each day for food from the bird feeder and that which we put out for them (we went prepared!). We enjoy walking and were able to walk into Crickhowell and up to Llangattock Escarpment from Read morethe cottage. The accommodation itself was very comfortable, even in the extreme heat we experienced during our week. Would stay again! Hide

Superb cottage , ideal for exploring the Brecon Beacons. Dog owners should be aware that the expanse of grass shown on the website photo is shared with the neighbouring property. The small garden belonging to this cottage is not fully enclosed although it is unlikely that a dog could get into the surrounding fields to worry the sheep.
