Carno Bach is a beautifully restored 17th century barns set around a delightful courtyard 2 miles south of the village of Libanus. It is tastefully fitted and furnished throughout with the owners living in one of the barns. An indoor heated swimming pool is available, at an extra charge, on discussion with the owner. Carno is set in its own 5 acres tucked under the west side of Pen-y-Fan, surrounded by the National Trust and National Park. It has direct access onto the Beacons with lovely views of Carno Woods, the Gyrn and Craig Cerrig Gleisiad. Fishing is available on the River Glyn Tarrell just down the lane. Cottage accommodation
Sleeps 4. Kitchen/diner has quarry tiles, spot lights, fitted pine benches and table. The sitting room features oak beams, log-effect fire. An electronic 'day bed' can be moved to make an independent ground floor annexe. Downstairs bathroom has 'walk in' shower ideal for wheelchair users, handbasin and toilet.
Upstairs is set under the eaves,
Bedroom 1: 'super king bed' that splits into twins, en suite shower, handbasin and toilet,
Bedroom 2: a small twin room with a shower unit, toilet and handbasin.
Carno is WTB verified for walkers and cyclists.It includes a fully fitted well-equipped kitchen with oak units, electric cooker, microwave, dishwasher fridge/ freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer in communal drying room. The dining/ sitting room has a dining table, chairs, sofa, Sky Freesat TV, DVD, video, music centre,wifi signal variable in strength, oak beams and attractive stone fireplaces. A selection of books, magazines, games, CDs, records and videos, wooden staircases lead up to the bedrooms and second bathroom which feature exposed oak beams.
Useful information
Carno Bach has been converted from the original 17th century "Beast House". It has wheelchair access and can be booked in conjunction with Ty Carno as a sound proof double door can be opened to allow access through. Carno Bach can be used as an independent ground floor annexe for those with walking difficulties or wheelchair users (Grade 2 Disabled).
