For a restful, de-stressing break in wonderful surroundings visit Bailea Coach House, recently converted from an original 16th century Coach House. The cottage has been furnished and decorated to an exceptionally high standard with great attention to detail. Situated in a beautiful, farm location with panoramic views over the Usk valley onto the Brecon Beacons and the surrounding hills, Bailea Coach House is a perfect base for active exploration of the surrounding unspoilt countryside with walking and cycling from the door.
Bailea Coach House has been furnished and decorated to an exceptionally high standard. The spacious, extremely efficient and well-equipped oak kitchen features a double sized "range style" electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, large fridge and freezer, kitchen table and chairs. The sitting room is very spacious, the focal point being a magnificent stone fireplace with an impressive oak lintel and electric log effect stove. Quality brown leather armchairs and sofas, a long oak dining table and chairs all compliment beautiful antique windowsills and floors. The room also has a TV with DVD.
Bedroom 1: on the ground floor is a beautifully fitted bedroom with sumptuous king size bed. This room enjoys a very large en suite, with shower handbasin and toilet. There are wide doors that would allow for wheelchair access and the shower is spacious (but there are no hand rails).
Bedroom 2: is a very large bedroom with a king size bed and a matching single bed, all beautifully dressed with co-ordinated fabrics.
The bathroom is very generous with a large double shower, a bath, handbasin, toilet and heated towel rail. Both bedrooms have TV's.
There is a separate utility/drying room with a sink, washing machine and tumble dryer, which is shared with Bailea Stable.
Explore Bailea Farm and enjoy water from the mountain spring
Bailea is a family farm producing Farm Assured beef and lamb and is farmed under the Welsh environmental scheme "Tyr Gofal". There is an abundance of wildlife with several Red Kites nesting nearby and a number of badger sets in the area. Pull on your walking boots and explore this idyllic location, the panoramic views are simply breathtaking. Sample not only the Welsh air, but the water as the water supply for both Bailea Coach House and Bailea Stable comes directly from a mountain spring situated on the farm.
Flexible accommodation for up to 6 people
Bailea Coach House was converted alongside the old stables and the owners thoughtfully ensured maximum flexibility for the two properties. Both cottages are suitable for couples or for families with teenage children (unsuitable for children under 13yrs old).
Fishing, Cycling, Walking - something for everyone.
Bailea is ideally located for leisurely walks onto Mynydd Illtyd with its National Park Visitor Centre or for the more demanding ascent of Pen y Fan and Cornddu (the highest peak in the Brecon Beacons). For those bringing bikes there are a huge number of cycle routes locally and most allow for a pub lunch en route! Alternatively, grab your rod and tackle and head down to the River Usk where fishing is available.
Further accommodation for 2 people can be provided by booking Bailea Stable cottage.
