Whether your idea of a perfect holiday is being as active as possible, cruising along a canal, trying out new sports or simply watching the world go by Talybont is the destination for you. This lovely village in the heart of the Brecon Beacon National Park really does have something for everyone with miles of flat canal path, two rivers, a reservoir, waterfalls, wood and farmland and of course the Brecon Beacons mountains all within striking distance.
On top of all that there are four cosy and welcoming pubs, serving great food, a local shop, and a café offering tea, coffee, yummy cakes and wifi!
And, when the sun goes down grab a deckchair, lie back and check out the stars. The Brecon Beacons National Park is an official ‘Dark Sky Reserve’ and Talybont is a great spot from which to see major constellations, the Milky Way and even meteor showers with the naked eye.
