With superb walking and views across the hills this comfortable and friendly cottage has original features in every room and is a warm, cosy retreat in contrast with the surrounding wild heathland. There are two bedrooms with wonderful beams, pitched ceilings and sweet cottage windows to let in the morning sunlight.

Entrance porch for muddy boots and walking poles with stable door into a pretty fitted hand made pine kitchen with traditional tiled floor and oak dining table and chairs. With a gas cooker, Belfast sink, washing machine and fridge/freezer, there is plenty of room here to work and plenty of storage space to hold all your supplies.
In the light and bright sitting room windows overlooking the enclosed garden which gives plenty of light and there are snug sofas and chairs, perfect for curling up in front of the large fireplace where the owner has installed a woodburner and TV with Freeview.

There is a large fenced paddock (tennis court size) ideal for children to play safely. There are wonderful walks and views directly onto the mountains etc. These attractive cottages were built in the early 1800's for farm workers at the Estate on the Drovers Road to Brecon in the central Brecon Beacons. This is a wonderful location for any kind of large gathering, family groups, reunions, Management Groups etc. Catering can be offered on discussion.

Forest Lodge Cottages are in a delightful situation at the foot of the mountains with wonderful walking. These cottage's Charlottes, Ivy and Fern are on Forest Lodge Country Estate and can be booked in conjunction with Forest Lodge farmhouse therefore sleeping a total of 40 people.

A friendly cathedral town in the lee of the mountains with the rivers Usk and Honddu running through. For a small town, there's a lot going on. A leisure centre with a pool, 1930s style cinema, excellent theatre and plenty of shops and cafes. On the outskirts of the town are popular villages including Llangorse with it famous lake, Cantref with its popular adventure farm, Talybont, well known as a walking and cycling hub and Felin Fach, home of The Griffin, a highly acclaimed pub and restaurant.
