Dyffryn Beusych Cottage is set in a sunny and south facing spot with open breathtaking views to the Sugar Loaf Mountain in The Black Mountains and Crickhowell and The Usk Valley to the west; the owner is a very gardener and has lovingly clipped and cut her topiary trees on the bank below the cottage over a number of years - turning them into quite a feature of the property. This is a wonderful remote location - the owner does live next door but is very private and unobtrusive - it is a truly magical and peaceful place to spend a few days holiday.
Dyffryn Beusych means "dry steading in the valley" and is set on a 300 acre hill sheep farm at high up on the hillside running up to 1200 feet with pasture and ancient woodland. Visitors can picnic and walk on the farm and there is great walking onto the hills and up The Llantony Valley. Superb hill walking and many easy walks, pony trekking, mountain biking, hang-gliding and caving are all available locally. As shown on a Home Sweet Holiday Home ITV1 Holiday programme.
Sleeps 3, 1-2 bedrooms. Once featured in "Great Escapes Magazine" this cottage was chosen as a truly great place to 'get away from it all'. It is also a member of the Green Dragon scheme to promote good environmental practices.

Crickhowell is the proud winner of the best British High Street, 2018. It's steeped in history, has almost entirely independent (and excellent) shops, really good pubs and restaurants and award winning cafes. The bustling high street runs down to the idyllic river with it's historic bridge over to the neighbouring village of Llangattock. Crickhowell is a great base for outdoor enthusiasts, with fantastic cycling and walking in the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons. To top it all, there's an annual music festival, The Green Man, just outside the town. Read more about Crickhowell
