The beautiful lodge has everything you would expect from a stylish house, creating a warm and comfortable place to stay. The open-plan lounge/kitchen has plush leather sofas and a roaring wood burner to snuggle in front of on chilly evenings. In the kitchen, you’ll find everything you need to rustle up a tasty meal, including a gas hob and sink with piping hot water. The bathroom is a self-contained ‘Pitch Pod’ with a WC, hot shower and hand basin. There are also three bedrooms dressed in luxurious Egyptian cotton linen. On summer evenings, make the most of your setting and enjoy a spot of al fresco dining on the veranda, looking out across the fields and woodlands, before slipping into the bubbling hot tub.
There are some beautiful walks to enjoy in the area. For peace and serenity, head to Blaen-y-Glyn (9.5 miles) where you can stroll along the river, past the magnificent waterfalls and sit down for lunch in the picnic area. Llangorse Lake (7 miles) provides a fun day of adventure. As well as wildlife watching, you can get out on the water in your own boat or hire one of the many vessels, including rowing boats, canoes and stand-up paddleboards. Step back in time on the Brecon Mountain Railway (25 miles), where you can majestically cruise through the National Park on a vintage steam locomotive.
