Situated just up the road from Penderyn Whisky Distillery - a truly lovely Welsh Whisky and less than an hours' walk to Sgwd yr Eira - the Waterfall Country.  It is very difficult to park anywhere near the Waterfalls so this is a great location.

The cottage is really accessible to all the attractions in South Wales, Welsh Valleys, Brecon Beacons and glorious Welsh Coastline.

A short drive to Bike Park Wales (15minutes), Dan-yr-Ogof Caves (15 minutes) and Pen-y-fan Mountain and the Brecon Beacons. The Gower Peninsula with so many wonderful sandy beaches is less than an hour's drive.  There are two local pubs - just up the hill behind the cottage is The Red Lion - this is a very popular pub serving excellent food. The Lamb is further on through the village and is the centre of the village where many of the locals congregate.

There is an excellent Antique Centre in the village - this is well worth a visit. The closest shop is in Hirwaun 2 miles.

Swansea is approximately 30 minutes, Cardiff 40 minutes and Brecon 30 minutes.

The Southern Brecon Beacons are a magical expanse of mountains, lakes and Ystradfellte's waterfall country of caves, rushing rivers and steeply wooded gorges. There's plenty to do here. Discover the mountains by foot, bike (this is the home of the fabulous Bike Park Wales) or even train on the Brecon Mountain Railway. Sample whisky (and gin) to rival even the finest Scotch at Penderyn Distillery, or have a day out at the spectacular caving system and dinosaur attraction at Dan yr Ogof. The acclaimed beaches in the Gower and Carmarthenshire are within an hour of many of the cottages. Read more about Southern Brecon Beacons
