This pretty terraced cottage is much larger than it first appears, warm and comfortably furnished, in the centre of the small and popular village of Llanfrynach in the foothills of the Brecon Beacons.  Ty Bychan is beautifully kept and is perfect for those who want to enjoy cycling or walking in the Brecon Beacons, there is a small enclosed garden suitable for up to 2 dogs.  Llanfrynach is on The Usk Valley Walk and close to The Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal and the River Usk .There are family attractions nearby including Cantref Farm Adventure Centre and the Play Barn at Brynich. Only a few minutes drive into Brecon.

Cottage accommodation

Sleeps 5 - 3 bedrooms

A well fitted and very well equipped spacious kitchen with a washer/dryer, built-in electric cooker with hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, an antique pine dresser, dining table and chairs.

A utility/cloak room with  a "butlers" sink and a toilet, ample room for drying coats and boots.

The sitting room has a comfortable sofa and chairs around an attractive stone fireplace with woodburning stove and a feature recessed bread oven.  Beside the stone hearth there are shelves offering a good supply of books, jigsaws, games, DVD's and videos. 

There is BT TV, DVD, radio and CD player.

Up a flight of wide stairs to three pretty and well furnished bedrooms with good quality linen.

Bedroom 1:  Has a double bed and TV in room

Bedroom 2: Has twin beds - (down a small step)

Bedroom 3: has a single bed.

The family bathroom: Has a bath with an efficient power shower, handbasin and toilet.

  • A friendly cathedral town in the lee of the mountains with the rivers Usk and Honddu running through. For a small town, there's a lot going on. A leisure centre with a pool, 1930s style cinema, excellent theatre and plenty of shops and cafes. On the outskirts of the town are popular villages including Llangorse with it famous lake, Cantref with its popular adventure farm, Talybont, well known as a walking and cycling hub and Felin Fach, home of The Griffin, a highly acclaimed pub and restaurant.
