Set beside the winding lane leading to the Peaks of The Brecon Beacons Trosnant Cottage originates from the 17th century with the most stunning and magnificent views up to the Beacons.
This is a perfect location for hill walkers or mountain bikers (mountain bikes can be delivered to the door). Trosnant is only two and half miles from Brecon and approximately one mile from the "hill gate", the footpath leading up to the Peaks of the Brecon Beacons, with Pen-y-fan, Cribyn and Corn Ddu.
Ideal for those in training or just keen to get out onto the hills without having to drive. The Roman Road, with many parts still in really good condition passes the house and runs straight up through the hills and over towards the Welsh Valleys and Cardiff. A great location for a family activity holiday and for younger members there is the nearby family friendly Cantref Adventure Farm www.cantref.com , with animals for children to pet, a large play zone with bouncy castle, ball pool, swings slides etc. and with excellent Riding or Pony Trekking only a few minutes up the lane from the cottage. It is only 2 1/2 miles down the lane to Brecon..

A friendly cathedral town in the lee of the mountains with the rivers Usk and Honddu running through. For a small town, there's a lot going on. A leisure centre with a pool, 1930s style cinema, excellent theatre and plenty of shops and cafes. On the outskirts of the town are popular villages including Llangorse with it famous lake, Cantref with its popular adventure farm, Talybont, well known as a walking and cycling hub and Felin Fach, home of The Griffin, a highly acclaimed pub and restaurant.
