A tucked away idyllic and romantic end of terrace self-catering cottage in the village of Talybont-on-Usk in the heart of The Brecon Beacons National Park. The cottage is warm and cosy, set beside the tumbling River Caerfanell. The sheltered and secluded riverside garden is a delight. Visitors are welcome to bring a well behaved dog. There are plenty of walks right from the door along The Brecon and Monmouth Canal - only one minute away, or up into the hills, mountain bike on The Taff Trail (again just across the road). Stroll to the two local pubs, a restaurant at The Rest and the village shop with post office and cafe is always popular and they serve an excellent breakfast.

The handmade wooden kitchen is very well equipped with a double oven, microwave, fridge, freezer and a washing machine.
Up a couple of steps to the sitting room with a dining table and chairs, sofa and chairs, a large multi-fuel/wood burning stove. Large TV with Free Sat , DVD and WIFI. Doors lead out to the sheltered and secluded riverside garden and summerhouse.
A downstairs bathroom with a bath with an electric shower over, a handbasin and toilet.
Up a flight of original steep wooden stairs that curve round behind the fireplace and chimney to two bedrooms:
Bedroom 1: A pretty bedroom with a double bed.
Bedroom 2: Down a couple of steps, with a low ceiling (not ideal for very tall people) are twin beds.
Bathroom: The free-standing roll top bath has a handheld shower and a lovely view of the tumbling river below. There is also a hand basin and toilet.
The cottage garden is right beside the river and close to the front door there is a fairly steep part of the river bank. Youngish children and dogs would need to be well surpervised.

A few minutes drive past the large and picturesque Talybont Reservoir are the Lower and Upper waterfalls at Blaen-y-glyn. Continue on this road to explore 3 further reservoirs, home to many migratory birds, and a woodland nature reserve. There are various footpaths straight up onto the Brecon Beacons.
So, stay at Molly's Cottage and make it a great base for easy rambles or serious walks or for anyone with a mountain bike (available to hire in the village) The Brynoyre Tramroad starts just opposite the cottage and you can easily join The Taff Trail in a couple of miles and cycle to Cardiff. For anyone just pottering around exploring the local towns and villages and places of interest then Molly's Cottage in the village of Talybont on Usk is a very popular place to visit and stay, there really is something for everyone.

A friendly cathedral town in the lee of the mountains with the rivers Usk and Honddu running through. For a small town, there's a lot going on. A leisure centre with a pool, 1930s style cinema, excellent theatre and plenty of shops and cafes. On the outskirts of the town are popular villages including Llangorse with it famous lake, Cantref with its popular adventure farm, Talybont, well known as a walking and cycling hub and Felin Fach, home of The Griffin, a highly acclaimed pub and restaurant.
