Hazelmere is in a perfect location for any guests who would like to be able to walk out in the evening to one of two village pub/restaurants ? The Coach & Horses or a little further The Red Lion. The canal with its many locks, the River Usk and the village shop are all less than a 5/10 minute walk. The village of Llangynidr is mid-way between Brecon and Abergavenny and a couple of miles from Crickhowell. Very easy from here to be able to explore The whole of The Brecon Beacons and Black Mountains National Park.

Crickhowell is the proud winner of the best British High Street, 2018. It's steeped in history, has almost entirely independent (and excellent) shops, really good pubs and restaurants and award winning cafes. The bustling high street runs down to the idyllic river with it's historic bridge over to the neighbouring village of Llangattock. Crickhowell is a great base for outdoor enthusiasts, with fantastic cycling and walking in the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons.
