Gasworks House is a beautiful cottage on the banks of the canal with a Hot Tub and large enclosed garden.
The house over the years has been developed and modernised and built on several levels - so perhaps not suitable for anyone who does not like too many steps and stairs.
A very new property on the books - Professional Photographs to follow:
An elegant and stylish mid eighteenth-century traditional stone built house with an enclosed very private and secluded garden in an unique location facing onto and with direct access to the canal towpath. The house is within a few minutes' walk of Brecon town.
The house is tucked away behind a stone wall and has retained its character with oak beams and a wood burning stove in the elegant fireplace. A secure glorious high walled garden includes a large lawn area, raised fishpond, and a sheltered lower patio.
There is a hot tub in a secluded corner of the garden along with ample off-road parking in a gated courtyard. All rooms have views over the canal, some double aspect. The back of the house looks up to the Beacons behind.
The house is a short walk from The Canal Basin and Brecon Theatre, boat hire, the water meadows and walks down to The River Usk and the playing fields all on your doorstep.
Sleeps 8 - 4 Bedrooms, 2 Bath/shower rooms, 4 Toilets
The newly renovated kitchen has a super cream electric Esse (Aga type) Range cooker with double ovens, range hob and induction hob, dishwasher, and giving a country cottage feel, a Welsh dresser.
Up a couple of steps to the utility room extends the kitchen with additional sink, a washing machine, further working space, combination microwave oven, fridge, and a freezer, and has ample storage for coats, boots, etc.
A separate cloakroom and WC is located off this room.
The dining room has a wood burning stove and a long dining table to comfortably seat 10 guests; a lovely space for a group of friends or family to all eat together. A two-seater sofa is also situated by the wood burner, allowing flexible use of this space.

A friendly cathedral town in the lee of the mountains with the rivers Usk and Honddu running through. For a small town, there's a lot going on. A leisure centre with a pool, 1930s style cinema, excellent theatre and plenty of shops and cafes. On the outskirts of the town are popular villages including Llangorse with it famous lake, Cantref with its popular adventure farm, Talybont, well known as a walking and cycling hub and Felin Fach, home of The Griffin, a highly acclaimed pub and restaurant.
