A luxurious glamping retreat perfect for families, within verdant farmland surroundings and close to the well-known cycling hub of Talybont-on-Usk, the beautiful River Usk and the Talybont Reservoir.

Get back to nature with this fantastic canvas safari lodge in the Brecon Beacons National Park. Set on a working farm, it is surrounded by wonderful countryside, canal and riverside walks yet just 6.5 miles from the bustling market town of Brecon. Whether you’re nestled beside the roaring wood burner, dining alfresco on the veranda or watching the stars from the wood-fired hot tub, this inside-outside retreat promises memorable getaways for families and friends.

Inside, find a welcoming open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with all the comforts of home. Prepare meals in the timber kitchen area before dining at the retro farmhouse-style table. Afterwards, fire up the wood burner and hunker down under this cosy canvas for an evening of games with the family. As night falls, choose between a queen-sized bedroom, a twin room or climb the ladder into the unique cabin bed area. Stoke up the wood-fired hot tub in the morning and by the evening you will have the perfect place to relax and unwind while planning the following day’s activities. We had the best time! Owner is 5 star, very accommodating and generous. The lodge was all that we imagined and very comfortable. Everything you need is provided. We are a family of 6 and we were all very comfortable and the kids felt at home. We will definitely visit again ! Excellent location !

We absolutely loved our time in Dove lodge. The weather was also fantastic which helped. But even still, the children were able to run free in the field, make friends and play games with the children in the neighbouring lodges. The lodge had all items we needed and the hot tub was an added luxury. We recommend lighting the hot tub straight away as Read moreit can take several hours to warm up, but its well worth the wait!! We walked along the path to the canal and local village which was lovely too. Hide

Dove Lodge at Gilestone Farm is an amazing glamping experience. We are a family of 5 with a 10, 8 and 2 year old. We found the tent to be absolutely spotless and it had everything we needed. Absolutely loved the location and the safari tent. Charles, the owner was very pleasant and gave us lots of information on surrounding area. He was also extremely helpful when we couldnt get our wood-fired hot tub warm enough, and gave us the use of an electric one in one of the lodges that had just been vacated.

Fab pub serving homemade food (The Star) which is 10 min walk up the towpath. Very quiet and relaxing and great just to chill out. Fire pit great for BBQs and all wood and equipment provided for lovely al fresco dining. Nice that Charles just leaves you to it

We absolutely loved our short stay at Dove Lodge. Everything was perfect. The safari tent was clean, the cooking facilities were great as were the comfortable beds! The shower was instantly hot and really well maintained. We used the log burner every night and it soon took away the chill inside the tent.
