A friendly cathedral town in the lee of the mountains with the rivers Usk and Honddu running through. For a small town, there's a lot going on. A leisure centre with a pool, 1930s style cinema, excellent theatre and plenty of shops and cafes. On the outskirts of the town are popular villages including Llangorse with it famous lake, Cantref with its popular adventure farm, Talybont, well known as a walking and cycling hub and Felin Fach, home of The Griffin, a highly acclaimed pub and restaurant. This is such a heavenful place and so peaceful. From the welsh cakes at the beginning to the starry night sky on our last night, its been a great stay. If you are looking for somewhere to eat the Felinfach Griffin does really good food. Make sure to watch the beautiful night sky on a clear night!

Daffodil Lodge is everything we hoped for and more. Spotless comfortable and tranquil with glorious views and magical night skies when clear. Walking and cycling straight from the door was an added bonus In addition the bike storage is on of the best we have come across We'd love to get to know Powys better and Daffodil Lodge is undoubtably the ideal accommodation we hope to return
