Clare's Cottage is a pretty "picture-book" cottage in the perfect setting to unwind with lovely views over sheep-filled meadows and with Skirrid mountain beyond.   This cosy cottage is over 100 years old and is within an easy stroll of the famous Walnut Tree Restaurant. It is also only a short drive to The Hardwicke just outside Abergavenny or The Bell at Skenfrith - so the perfect place to stay for visitors wanting excellent restaurants along with many other local pubs and restaurants. There is also an excellent cafe The Copper Kettle just up the road - perfect for a morning coffee or afternoon tea.

The Skirrid Mountain is again just across the road - so a very close walk. The Sugarloaf Mountain and The Black Mountains are only a short drive.   So after a walk whether strenuous or a simple stroll spoil yourself on local produce in one of the local gastropubs for a truly memorable stay.

Clare's Cottage is well furnished and decorated and has a charm and character which is always popular with returning visitors.  The cottage is only about 3 miles from the market town of Abergavenny so perfect for events such as The Abergavenny Food Festival .

The unobtrusive owners live next door but a great place to stay for a peaceful and relaxing holiday with walking, golf and many other country pursuits on the doorstep.

Abergavenny is famed for its annual Food Festival, but you can enjoy fantastic food here all year round. For a special occasion, try The Hardwick, The Angel, The Skirrid or The Walnut Tree.
