Offering superb panoramic views across the Brecon Beacons, this delightful, refreshing and brightly decorated loft conversion makes a lovely holiday home for a couple exploring this stunning area.

Stride out on long country walks from this cosy cottage set in the grounds of the owner's farmhouse. Stay close to home by exploring the neighbouring field, or venture slightly further for intrepid adventures in the awe-inspiring Brecon Beacons National Park. Look out for red kites, woodpeckers and jays soaring overhead as you go. With two bedrooms sleeping three people, this loft conversion is ideal for a couple or small family looking to recharge their batteries in tranquil surroundings.

To enter the cottage, you’ll need to climb a flight of stone steps over the owner’s garage. Beside the doorway is a charming patio area where you can sit out with a cuppa and admire the far-reaching views of the Welsh countryside. Inside, the colourful open-plan living space and bedrooms are characterised by sloping ceilings, decorative ornaments and pictures hanging from the walls. Once you’ve settled in, relax by the warming wood burner while tucking into the welcome hamper of Welsh cakes and bara brith. At bedtime, choose from a double or single room for an undisturbed night’s sleep in this peaceful getaway.

Golf fanatics can play a round at Cradoc Golf Club, just 2 miles from the cottage, while history buffs might like to explore the remains of Roman fort Brecon Gaer (3 miles). Also nearby is the friendly market town of Brecon (4 miles). It has a wealth of great places to eat and drink as well as a cathedral, canal-side theatre, boutique shops and leisure centre with swimming pool. At Talgarth Mill (13 miles), you can see how flour is produced – and take home some freshly-baked bread for tea!

The cottage is amazing, very clean, cosy and well-maintained. It has everything you might need to have a fantastic stay! The views from the cottages are one of the best, as live TV. The hosts are very kind and caring. Highly recommend this place!

The accommodation was lovely and cosy and very well provisioned, the beds were very comfy and the log burner added to that really cosy feeling. The Hayloft proved to be a wonderful place to have a break in the Beacons. It is obviously cared for and maintained very well, is comfortable and good value for money. It is also very clean and its on site owners very warm and welcoming. My wife and I could not fault it.

This cottage is in a amazing location with beautiful views of pen y fan and corn du. Really nice walks to be had around the surrounding fields. The owners are incredibly friendly and clearly put a lot of effort into keeping the cottage well kept and clean.

Very comfortable accommodation and well equipped with everything you would need. Lovely welcome pack which was very much appreciated and the jug of milk in the fridge. The views are amazing looking over Pen y Fan, very peaceful and quiet only hearing the birds singing.

If you want peace, relaxation and fantastic views, this is definitely a property you will love. It is well placed too for everything the area has to offer. Very comfortable accommodation equipped with everything you will need.

This was our second visit to the Hayloft. It's such a lovely and relaxing place to stay with fabulous views. The cottage is equipped with everything you could need and more to make your stay very comfortable. This is a really pretty, comfortable and well-equipped cottage. The views are stunning, it's blissfully peaceful, and the hosts were friendly and helpful. It was warm, even in March, good for walking, and also near the facilities of an interesting well resourced tow. We had a great stay. We will go back.

A view to die for. A beautiful holiday home. Perfect in every way. The jug of milk in the fridge for your first cup of tea/coffee was a 'life saver. I would certainly go back.

The hayloft, is an amazing property, set in a beautiful welsh valley, with stunning views of the valley, from the terrace.
